Finding the right helmet size is the most important step to ensure your safety and comfort on the road. A well-fitting helmet should be snug around your head and cheeks without causing painful pressure points.

Note: Sizing information is provided by the manufacturer and does not guarantee a perfect fit. If you fall between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.

How to measure your head

Follow these simple steps to get an accurate measurement:

1. Use the right tool: Use a flexible cloth measuring tape. If you don't have one, use a piece of string and then measure the string against a ruler.

2. Position the tape: Wrap the tape around your head approximately one inch (2.5cm) above your eyebrows and ears. This is the widest part of your head.

3. Measure snugly: Pull the tape comfortably snug (not too tight).

4. Repeat: Measure 2 to 3 times to ensure accuracy and use the largest measurement found.

Checking for the perfect fit

Once your HelvioX helmet arrives, perform these quick checks indoors:

• The snugness test: The helmet should feel snug. When you move the helmet, your skin (especially on the cheeks and forehead) should move with it.

• The "shake" test: Fasten the chin strap and shake your head. The helmet should not slide or shift independently.

• The break-in period: Remember that new helmet padding will compress by about 10% to 15% after the first few hours of riding, becoming more comfortable over time.

As stated in our Returns & sizing disclaimer, it is the customer's responsibility to measure accurately. If you need to exchange your helmet for a different size, it must be returned in "brand new" condition with all protective films and tags intact.
