1. Single-Use Safety Design

A motorcycle helmet is engineered as a single-use safety device. Its primary protection mechanism relies on the controlled destruction of its internal components—specifically the expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam liner—to absorb and dissipate impact energy. Once this compression occurs, the helmet has fulfilled its functional life and will no longer provide the same level of protection in a subsequent event.

2. Visible vs. Invisible Damage

Following a crash or a significant impact, damage to the helmet may not be visible to the naked eye. While the outer shell might appear intact, the internal protective liner may have suffered permanent compression or microscopic fractures.

• Rule: If your helmet is involved in any accident or impact while being worn, it must be destroyed and replaced immediately, regardless of its external appearance.

• Non-Riding Impacts: If a helmet is dropped from a significant height (e.g., off a motorcycle or a high shelf) onto a hard surface, its structural integrity may be compromised. We strongly recommend professional inspection or replacement in such cases.

3. No Warranty for Impacted Helmets

HelvioX does not offer warranties, refunds, or exchanges for helmets that have been involved in an accident, a drop, or any form of impact. Our standard return policy only applies to brand-new, unused products in their original packaging with all safety seals intact.

4. Replacement Responsibility

By purchasing from helviox.com, the user acknowledges that it is their sole responsibility to monitor the condition of their helmet. Continuing to wear a helmet after a single impact significantly increases the risk of severe head injury or death. HelvioX is not liable for any injuries sustained while wearing a helmet that has previously been subjected to an impact.

5. Disposal of Impacted Helmets

When replacing an impacted helmet, HelvioX recommends cutting the chin straps and/or marking the shell with a permanent marker to ensure it cannot be salvaged or resold by third parties as a functional safety device.
